SAMPLE: Three new courses for educators

Educator professional learning now runs as a three-part sequence. Each course stands on its own, and taken in order they move from how history is read to what a classroom does with it.

The sequence

• 101 Structural Literacy. Reading history as a living system rather than a list of events.
• 201 Witness and Memory. Locating ourselves in history, built around survivor testimony.
• 301 Democracy and Human Behavior. Contributing to what comes next.

All three are open to middle and high school teachers, and to district and county staff who support them.
